Application Developer
Job Summary:
Work with Business Analysts, Architects and Customers to maintain, customize and enhance the Wealthview Banking application.
Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Write code and complete programming following detailed specifications
- Perform unit testing, troubleshooting and debugging of the Wealthview Banking application
- Perform Peer Code Reviews
- Provide support during phases such as User Acceptance Testing and post go live support.
- Other assignments, responsibilities, projects, etc. as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in the environment and\or strategies
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft SQL Server
- Knowledge of a current system design and development method such as RUP and Microsoft Solutions Framework is an asset.
Credentials & Experience:
- 1-3 years development experience with an object-oriented programming language preferably in a client\server environment
- Experience in a retail or commercial banking environment is desirable
- An undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related subject is recommended, though candidates with equivalent work experience will be considered
- A premier Microsoft Certification (MCSD, MCDBA) would be an asset.
Special Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively with Customers
- Buildmaster responsibilities including merging code and compiling the Wealthview Banking application
- Knowledge transfer and mentoring of customer and Fincentric development resources
- Understand code management processes
- Some domestic and International travel may be required.
