Envision Financial Completes Final Phase of Implementation with TELUS and Fincentric
Vancouver, BC, June 25, 2003
– Envision Credit Union with TELUS has completed its implementation
of Fincentric's Wealthview Banking™ system. With Envision's
western branches fully converted and live on Wealthview Banking,
Envision now has just over 100,000 members using Wealthview Banking.
This final phase completes the implementation part of TELUS and
Fincentric's partnership to provide systems consulting, integration,
hosting and software licensing and support, in a seven-year agreement
with Envision Credit Union.
“Through our strategic partnership with TELUS and
Fincentric, we now have a first-class banking solution that our
entire organization can take advantage of,” said Gord Huston, Envision
CEO. “Working from a common platform, we can now offer products
that our members are looking for in a more timely and efficient
manner. Having a banking system that allows us to be responsive
to the needs of our local market directly impacts the service our
members receive, as well as our bottom line.”
TELUS provided systems integration and IT consulting services for Envision's implementation and conversion onto the Wealthview Banking system and continues to provide a complete suite of banking system management services ranging from ongoing systems integration and consulting services, application management and enhancement services, systems operation and technology management, and telecommunication network provisioning and management.
“Envision entrusted TELUS to manage their banking system transition, and deliver on system management and technology services,” said Bruce Calder, Vice President and General Manager of TELUS Enterprise Solutions, the information technology (IT) outsourcing and professional services division of TELUS. “We are proud that the exceptional efforts of the TELUS team contributed to Envision's successful transition and helped attain their ambitious member service goals. TELUS' relationship with Envision showcases the progressive level of technology and telecommunications integration TELUS is successfully offering to Canadian businesses today.”
As Canada's third largest credit union, Envision is using Fincentric's Wealthview Banking system to transition away from multiple legacy banking systems onto one single platform that fully integrates in-branch, ATM, telephone and Internet systems. Wealthview Banking will help “break down” information silos to provide Envision's 750 employees with a consolidated view of a member's existing accounts and products.
"Envision is a forward thinking and technologically innovative credit union—which translates into exemplary customer service for its members,” said Lyle Wharton, president and CEO of Fincentric. “With Fincentric's Wealthview Banking, Envision is redefining how modern credit unions are effectively competing with big banks."
Wealthview Banking is a complete front-to-back office banking system for financial institutions, offering comprehensive applications for deposits, payments, and consumer lending. Wealthview Banking features capabilities and integration across multiple delivery channels, including Internet banking. An online transaction-processing (OLTP) engine, designed for high performance and high availability, completes the retail core processing system. With Wealthview Banking, financial institutions can analyze the value of each customer, formulate strategies to maximize their value, and increase customer retention.
