Reality Closer for Inter-provincial Credit Union Partnership with Fincentric’s Wealthview Banking

Vancouver, BC, March 30, 2005 – Fincentric is excited to announce that after several months of vendor evaluations and technology assessments, British Columbia-based Envision Financial and Alberta-based First Calgary Savings are proceeding with plans to license Fincentric’s Wealthview Banking™ system as their joint, common banking platform. The principal commercial arrangements for licensing Wealthview Banking have been finalized between the three parties.

This announcement follows on the heels of the December 2004 announcement, where Envision Financial and First Calgary revealed plans to move ahead on a first-of-its-kind inter-provincial partnership. This initiative, known as the Pathways Project, provides a detailed and compelling business case that explores the feasibility of creating a financially strong, member-focused partnership for Canadians. One of the initial steps in making the Pathway Project a reality is having a common banking system platform.

“Our announcement with Fincentric brings us one step closer to making the unique partnership between First Calgary Savings and Envision Financial a reality,” said First Calgary Savings president and CEO Dave Gregory. “We’re moving forward with Fincentric because of their outstanding 20-year reputation in the Canadian marketplace with roots in developing innovative core banking solutions specifically tailored for Canadian credit unions.”

“We have long known the value Fincentric brings to the table,” said Envision Financial president and CEO Gord Huston. “Envision has been running Wealthview Banking since 2002. We have every confidence that Fincentric will continue to meet our IT vision and fulfill our needs in future endeavors.”

“The selection of Wealthview Banking over other solutions by First Calgary continues to reflect the strength of our Canadian core banking solution,” said Alice Laberge, Fincentric president and CEO. “This signals Envision Financial and First Calgary’s clear commitment to finalizing a plan and agreement for the implementation of Wealthview Banking in support of their joint venture initiative—an exciting event for the Canadian financial services landscape.”
