David Fleming Appointed
New Chief Technology Officer at Fincentric
Vancouver, BC, June 15, 2005
– Alice Laberge, President and Chief Executive Officer
of Fincentric Corporation, is pleased to announce the appointment
of David Fleming to Chief Technology Officer. Fleming joined Fincentric
as Vice President of Products and Services in 2004 to lead the Professional
Services and Product Development groups. He has also been directly
involved with the company’s strategic planning and operations.
In this additional position, Fleming will continue
to refine and advance the company’s technology vision and
direction, meeting Fincentric’s corporate objectives of delivering
innovative solutions and implementation services for global financial
institution clients.
Fleming is a technology business leader with more
than 20 years of strategic software management, having held chief
technology officer and vice president of product development positions
at numerous organizations.
“David is a valued leader in the Fincentric
organization and brings a wealth of management expertise,”
said Laberge. “Having performed the role of CTO with five
previous software development companies in the financial services
industry, David brings extensive experience to this area and will
continue to be a key contributor to Fincentric’s strategy
and growth.”
Fleming came to Fincentric from World Gaming PLC,
where he held board director and chief technology officer positions.
During his tenure he was responsible for defining the technical
direction of the company and managing all the technology of World
Gaming's global operations.
Prior to this, Fleming was founder and chief technology
officer at White Picket Defense Inc., a wireless security solutions
company. Among his achievements, Fleming was the technical strategist
and architect in a multi-billion dollar, global transaction network
business arrangement.
Fleming also founded e-Commerce Inc., Canada 's
first web solutions and software company. There, he grew e-Commerce
into one of the top five Canadian Internet companies in the 1990s,
which was eventually sold to LGS Groupe.
Fleming attended the University of Toronto and
York University where he studied computer science and business.
He is a dynamic public speaker and has written many white papers
on various internet, security, e-commerce, software development
methodologies, and team building topics.
