Selient (formerly HomeBank
Technologies) and Fincentric Partner
Integrated Technology Delivers
Transparent Banking Solution and Services for Credit Unions across
Canada
Vancouver, BC, June 29, 2005
– Selient Inc., formerly HomeBank Technologies Inc.
(TSX Venture: HTI) and Fincentric Corporation formed an alliance
today. The alliance will result in a direct interface between Selient’s
loan origination and processing system, ProLender, and Fincentric’s
core retail banking system, Wealthview BankingTM— delivering
a Canadian-based, fully integrated loan origination and retail banking
solution.
The alliance will allow Wealthview Banking customers
to benefit from tighter integration between the two products with
regular ProLender feature enhancements, and technical support for
both products from Fincentric. It will also allow credit unions
to take advantage of product enhancements sooner, improving operational
efficiency while reducing the costs of migration.
“Formalizing a relationship with Selient
ensures Fincentric’s ability to provide increased customer
service and response levels for our current product offering including
ProLender,” said David Fleming, Fincentric’s Chief Technology
Officer. “Common and new credit union customers may now have
Fincentric as their single point of contact for support, instead
of managing multiple vendors for their ancillary solutions.”
The companies will also jointly participate in
future product development, align development processes including
integrated quality control environments, coordinate product releases,
and allow each other to take advantage of new product functionality.
“This strategic alliance reflects the continuing
rationalization in the Canadian credit union market. Those credit
unions looking to grow and thrive are choosing more efficient tools
and partners who are willing to forgo traditional delivery models
and concepts of 'control'. This approach allows for the rapid and
cost effective
deployment of technologies to more effectively meet credit union
needs in a highly competitive market,” said Bryan McCaw, Selient’s
President and CEO. “Our organization welcomes alliances like
the one with Fincentric as it shows that Fincentric is committing
its resources to differentiate its core product in order to more
effectively meet their customer's needs, today and into the future.
Fincentric is one of the leading banking system providers in Canada
serving nearly fifty percent of the largest and progressive credit
unions in the country. We are pleased to be working closer with
them.”
“We are delighted to be working with Selient.
They are the leaders in lending software with close to twenty five
percent of total Canadian credit union assets using ProLender,”
continued Fleming. “This new alliance reflects our commitment
of continuously providing enhanced products and services to credit
union customers. We are committed to Selient and look forward to
the tremendous benefits in the seamless integration of the two systems.”
